The various buildings that form the campus of the Institute Maïeutique day care centre are located in the centre of Lausanne.
This geographical distribution helps create a dynamic that promotes socialization and integration within both the neighbourhood and the city as a whole. The campus includes consulting rooms, an infirmary, a workshop, an occupational therapy room, a psychomotor therapy room, art therapy and music workshops (for wood, paper, paint, etc.), classrooms, a library and a dining room.
The day care centre is open non-stop from 9:00 to 18:00. Patients have the opportunity to take their lunch and dinner in the dining room where our chefs offer a varied and balanced menu constructed in accordance with the guidelines of the 'Fourchette Verte' quality label.
The framework of the day care centre is structured to ensure that the patient recovers a suitable way of life. Everyone participates in the development of a personalized schedule that is tailored to the needs and individual objectives of each and every patient. This personalized schedule will include medical, psychotherapeutic and psycho-socio-educational activities. All activities are proposed as vectors for care, and are carried out in the form of both individual and group sessions. Complementary activities, which take place outside the confines of the Institute Maïeutique, are strongly encouraged in order for the patient to maintain an affective link with their social environment.
The health care team is composed primarily of two physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, a psychomotor therapist, an art therapist, an occupational therapist, a specialized teacher and various instructors.
